Senior Director, Worldwide Systems Engineering - Global Accounts
Our Worldwide Systems Engineering organization consists of customer-focused technical sales professionals who provide pre-sales consulting, technical guidance, and hands-on assistance to customers and channel partners. We collaborate closely with sales teams to design effective solutions based on Nutanix offerings, acting as trusted advisors and thought leaders in the industry.
As Senior Director, WW Systems Engineering - Global Accounts, you will:
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team of Systems Engineers and managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Drive strategic decision-making and ensure alignment with long-term business objectives.
- Recruit, develop, and coach top talent, providing mentorship and enabling career growth.
- Engage at the C-Level with customers to deliver strategic value and influence outcomes.
- Act as a future technology expert, guiding customers on emerging trends such as AI, Kubernetes, and Cloud-native architectures.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure strategic alignment and accelerate business growth.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues and ensure seamless channel enablement.
- Evangelize Nutanix solutions through thought leadership, industry events, and customer engagements.
- Maintain flexibility to act as a floating Systems Engineer when needed for critical opportunities.
- Minimum of 50% global travel required.

- Proven leadership experience with a track record of driving transformational change and delivering measurable business outcomes.
- 15+ years in technical pre-sales or systems engineering roles, with 3-5+ years in management and 2+ years of experience in a management role managing other people leaders.
- Deep expertise in virtualization, storage, AI, Kubernetes, and Cloud technologies.
- Strong ability to work independently from sales counterparts while proactively supporting the sales cycle.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level.
- Demonstrated thought leadership and ability to evangelize technology solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
